Highlights - Celebrating Progress and Traditions Together
Dear Friends of Cambodia Kids Can,
We’re thrilled to share some wonderful updates from October that show the incredible impact of your support!
Education Progress: The new academic year has begun! Our Mekhala House girls are stepping into grades 9–12 with enthusiasm. Three girls have joined the innovative New Generation School program, giving them access to advanced learning in science and technology.
University Success: Several of our sponsored students are thriving. Thoeun Daneth has completed her thesis and graduated, now serving as a police officer in Phnom Penh! Others, like Nak Chhin and Tha Ousa, have finished their final exams and are preparing for life beyond university.
Community Engagement: Our team participated in important child protection and foster care training sessions, ensuring we continue to provide the best care and advocacy for children.
Generous Donations: Mekhala House received essential supplies—800 kg of rice, noodles, milk, and more—thanks to local partnerships. These gifts help us keep our children healthy and nourished.
Khmer Water Festival Joy: Cambodia celebrated Bon Om Touk, the Water and Moon Festival marking the end of the monsoon season. It’s one of the country’s most cherished traditions, featuring boat races, music, and family gatherings. Our girls were able to visit their families during this special time, reconnecting with loved ones and sharing donated food items for the journey. This cultural experience strengthens their sense of belonging and joy.

Your generosity makes all this possible. Every achievement, every smile, every step forward is because of you. Thank you for believing in these young lives and helping them build brighter futures.
Warm regards,
Cambodia Kids Can Board
